Germany's LOHC Technology Company received 570 million yuan in government funding
Recently, the German Federal Minister of Economics officially issued a grant notice of 72.5 million euros (equivalent to RMB 570 million) to Hydrogenious LOHC Infra Bavaria, a subsidiary of Hydrogenious LOHC Technologies, a German organic liquid hydrogen storage technology company, for the green hydrogen energy "Blue Danube" project. The federal government provides 70% of the funds and Bavaria provides 30%. The project was listed as an "Important Project of Common European Interest" (IPCEI) by the European Commission in February 2024 for the hydrogen energy "Hy2Infra" program.
MIT: Coffee promotes hydrogen production from seawater
Recently, MIT discovered that coffee can act as a catalyst in the process of producing hydrogen from seawater. Doctoral student Aly Kombargi, the lead author of the study, explained: "We were just playing around in the kitchen and found that when we added coffee grounds to seawater and put in aluminum particles, the reaction suddenly sped up." "The container will hold aluminum particles (recycled from old soda cans and other aluminum products), as well as small amounts of gallium, indium and caffeine," MIT explained in a press release. "These ingredients can flow into the reactor regularly along with some of the surrounding seawater to produce hydrogen on demand. The hydrogen can then fuel onboard engines, drive engines or generate electricity to power ships."

Trump's potential impact on clean energy technology has caused anxiety among European hydrogen companies
Trump has said that if he is re-elected, he will target the clean energy industry on his first day in office. Wood Mackenzie Energy Data and Analysis Company estimates that if the US clean energy policy is reversed, it is expected that $1 trillion of low-carbon energy investment will be at risk. This has caused anxiety among European hydrogen energy companies, and ThyssenKrupp Hydrogen's final investment decision on its US project has been delayed.

Toyota's hydrogen fuel cell vehicles used in the Paris Olympics were opposed by more than 120 experts: not so environmentally friendly
The 2024 Paris Olympics is about to open, but more than 120 scientists, scholars and engineers recently wrote a letter to the Paris Olympic Organizing Committee, asking them to reconsider the decision to use Toyota Mirai as the official car of the Olympics. They said that hydrogen fuel cells such as Mirai have no tailpipe emissions, but the production of hydrogen they use is heavily dependent on methane, which is more polluting than battery electric vehicles (EVs).

Pure Hydrogen supplies 5 hydrogen fuel cell buses to Vietnam
Pure Hydrogen and Vietnam ASEAN Hydrogen Club recently signed an MOU to provide Vietnam with 5 hydrogen fuel cell buses. The full agreement also includes the supply of electrolyzers and hydrogenation equipment, which can bring Pure Hydrogen $8.8 million in revenue. The agreement also sets a framework for PH2 to supply 1MW alkaline electrolyzer hydrogen production and hydrogenation equipment. If fully executed, the agreement will bring PH2 approximately $8.8 million in revenue. According to the terms, VAHC will pay a 50% deposit and the rest will be paid upon delivery.
